2. What is the range of funding available?

The remaining grant fund is £119,000, and the minimum request for funding is £20,000. If you wish to discuss your project, please talk to the Chalk Arc Project Officer. Either telephone 01582 547334, or email lisa.king@chalkarc.org.

Any amount less than £20,000 should refer to ‘Community Groups’ Home Page step 3 and follow the Community Grant Application process instead.
All projects should have some element of match funding. Projects that have higher levels of match funding will be considered favourably."

Match funding can either consist of cash or ‘in kind’ contributions. In kind contributions could include officer time, volunteer time, materials donated in kind, or services (e.g. PR, printing) donated in kind.

What will not be funded?
Projects that cannot be funded include:

  • Projects that involve the routine refurbishment or maintenance of existing facilities
  • Projects that are deemed to cause environmental or ecological damage
  • Projects that compensate for the long-term lack of investment, proper management or neglect of sites by the current owner.
  • Projects that involve the delivery of organisations’ statutory responsibilities
