3. The funding process revealed The method of applying for funding is extremely straightforward. First who can apply?
We are especially interested in partnership projects with businesses that contribute funding or in-kind support. IMPORTANT UPDATE Due to successful uptake of Chalk Arc Initiative funding, the final call for all project applications for funding has been brought forward to 23rd February 2010. The remaining grant fund is £119,000. Demand is expected to be high and early submission of applications is recommended in order to allow sufficient time for detailed consideration and revisions if required. If you have a suitable project that requires funding please submit a ‘Full Application Form’ with as much detail and supporting documentation as you can provide; the application form is available for download at www.chalkarc.org/downloads, or can be requested from the Chalk Arc Project Officer. Please note that no Expression of Interest form is required. As there is no Expression of Interest stage we would encourage applicants to contact the Chalk Arc Project Officer for advice and guidance on the suitability of projects for funding and assistance in the preparation of applications. The Chalk Arc Project Officer can be contacted on 01582 547334 or by email at lisa.king@chalkarc.org. Applications will be considered at the Chalk Arc Steering Group meeting on 9th March 2010 and successful applicants will be notified of their award within seven days. If, due to demand, your project is suitable but cannot be progressed at this stage we will keep it on file in case any further opportunities for funding become available. Application Form Complete the application form which can be found in the ‘Downloads’ section of the site, and attach the completed form to an email to Lisa King or fax a copy to: 01582 546971. All applications are evaluated on a ‘value for money’ basis and applicants may be asked to provide evidence of likely costs in the form of detailed quotations for significant items or services.
